The death of David Earl MacDougall occurred on Saturday February 3, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1917 in Bloomfield, PEI he was the son of the late Fraser and Sarah (MacAusland) MacDougall. David was a pipe fitter and a member of the Pipe fitters Local # 213. He is survived by his sons Earl (Judy) of Saint John, James (Valerie) of Edmonton, AB and Bruce (Marion) of Saint John; daughters Isabel McLean (Ralph) of Summerside, PEI, Arlene MacDougall of Calgary, Brenda Thibodeau (Gilbert) of Edmonton, AB, Gloria Lunney (Stephen) of Rothesay and Donna Pike (James) of Saint John; daughter in law Pam Munn of Saint John; brothers Lloyd (Betty) of Rothesay, Ralph (Rita) of Saint John and Charles (Vera) of Rothesay; sister Eleanor Baxter (Bob) of Ontario; 13 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; and best friend and caregiver Irene Robinson. He was predeceased by his wife Myrtle (Dyment) MacDougall; brothers Ernest MacDougall and Cecil MacDougall and sister Elizabeth Ferguson. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Monday 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 12-2 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Arthritis Society.
