01/23/2006 DEMPSTER, LOUIS H. - The death of Louis H. Dempster of Upham, husband of Cheryl (Beatty) Dempster occurred unexpectedly January 21, 2006 at Victoria General Hospital, Halifax. He was born in Saint John, son of the late Barbara MacDonald. Louis was a member of St. Peter's Church, Upham, where he played the guitar and sang in church. He was a Past President and member of Local 213, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving besides his wife Cheryl are one daughter Tammy Greer (Darren), Upham; two sons Sonney (Angie Kindred), Upham, Jody (Brenda Richardson), Upham; one sister Pearl Brown (Carl Trafton), Kingston; four brothers Leonard (Linda), Quispamsis, Andy and Arthur of Edmonton, AB, David (Barb), Quispamsis; seven grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son Luke. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton. The funeral will be held Wednesday, 2:00 pm at St. Peter's Church with Rev. Philip Pain officiating. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. Memorials to St. Peter's Church, Canadian Cancer Society or Hampton Minor Hockey would be appreciated. Visiting 2-4pm and 7-9pm Tuesday.
